Will anyone know that I’m in counseling?
A crucial component of online counseling is developing trust with your counselor and feeling at ease. You have a right to privacy, and we will uphold your confidentiality. The ethics board mandates this for counsellors as well (ASCHP).
Nobody else will know until you want to tell them.
How often will I need to see a counselor, and for how long?
You will speak with your therapist online as often as necessary because your experience and process are unique to you. Only your personal approach will determine how long or how quickly you move through different problems and stages. You might also inquire: How frequently should I visit my counselor?
Once more, you will exercise with your counsellor. If you are experiencing a crisis, it can be daily for a while. If things are going well, maybe once a month.
Mumtaz is there to walk the road with you through the painful process of counselling, no matter how challenging that may be.
